What is the course about?
Cooking isn’t just about following recipes–it’s about making them your own, building traditions, and creating memories that can be passed down for generations. In this course, we’ll focus on making simple, delicious, and easily repeatable meals that you can truly call your own.
Why was the course created?
"When it comes to family meals, I prefer sitting down and spending time around the table together, sharing our challenges and successes of the day. However, having six adult children and 13 grandchildren, I know firsthand that mealtimes don’t always go as planned. Whether it’s grabbing a plate ravenously after a game, eating on the fly, or just providing a healthy snack before practice, meal times take on all different kinds of shapes and meanings depending on the time and day: The one constant, however, is that food is bonding–it creates memories, and it brings us together–even just for a second."

My passion for food and family was inspired by Grammy Carl’s handwritten recipe book, a treasured collection of dishes that held generations of memories. Even the name of my show, "Farmhouse Rules", was born from these cherished family traditions.
This course is about preserving that same spirit–teaching you how to make dishes that will become a hit in your home.
